Aerojet Wins Fire Suppression Contract with Ford Motor Company
Aerojet Plans Hiring, Building to Meet New Contract Requirements

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 30, 2004 -- Aerojet, a GenCorp Inc. (NYSE: GY) company, announced today that it will provide tooling and production-ready facilities for fire suppression systems designed to be used in Ford Motor Company’s Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.

The work related to tooling acquisition and production line development will take place at Aerojet’s Redmond, Wash. operation where the breakthrough technology was designed. Future production is planned for Aerojet’s Socorro, N.M. facility. Several new jobs will be created to meet the needs of the contract. The company will be responsible for building an assembly line and preparing it for production activities.

Aerojet President Mike Martin said the contract highlights Aerojet’s extensive expertise in fire suppression technology.

“Aerojet has proven that our unique fire suppression technology has application on a variety of demanding platforms, including aircraft, armored ground vehicle and law enforcement transportation,” Martin said. “We look forward to working with Ford to offer enhanced safety for law enforcement officers on the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.”
