GenCorp Foundation Sponsors Arkansas High School Band for Presidential Inaugural Parade

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Jan. 19, 2005 -- The GenCorp Foundation, providing charitable giving in GenCorp Inc. communities, is proud to sponsor the Camden Fairview High School Band, of Camden, Arkansas as it represents its state in the 55th Presidential Inaugural Parade. GenCorp’s subsidiary, Aerojet, operates substantial manufacturing facilities in Camden. Four parents of band members work at the Aerojet facility.

The Camden Fairview band is one of 34 bands nationwide chosen to play in the parade in Washington, D.C.

The GenCorp Foundation is providing $1,000 in funding – ensuring travel for at least two student band members – for this unique opportunity.

“The Inaugural Parade is truly an incredible opportunity for the high school band students from Camden to represent their home state in front of the President of the United States,” said GenCorp Foundation Director Juanita Garcia. “It is a pleasure to provide funding for this trip on behalf of the GenCorp Foundation, GenCorp and Aerojet.”
